Climate change is emmerging trend evolving with many challanges impacting health economy, and environment. Africa is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, including extreme weather events, rising temperatures, and environmental degradation. At Afya for Africa, we recognize the urgent need to address climate change and its impacts in our communities.
We aim at;
- Promoting use of of renewable energy as a solution to mitigate climate change at community level.
- Implementing sustainable agriculture practices to improve food security, increase resilience to climate-related shocks, and reduce deforestation and land degradation.
- Raising awareness about the impacts of climate change and empowering communities to adapt to changing environmental conditions through education, training, and capacity-building programs.
- Advocating for climate-smart policies and initiatives at the local and national levels to promote sustainable development and protect the planet for future generations.
